What Happens to a Dream Deferred?

When deciding to continue with Against Time (aka Just Another 48 Hours and Wake Me Up When September Ends), I had to decide if I wanted to edit the story from 3 planned installments (the third was supposed to be If We Make It Through December) or to just close off the story with Wake.  At first I was leaning towards eliminating December, but I got a few ideas rolling and I put that idea on pause.  Then, as life tends to happen, work got crazy and my mental energy was drained from the project once more.  I'm sick of my career always being in a state of chaos that causes me to get distracted.  Sometimes I just want to live somewhere else for a year, away from the rat race and just enjoy my life.
