Commentary -- After Life (Chapter 9)

In the middle of trying to finish Just Another 48 Hours, I finally figured out where I wanted After Life to go. Okay, truth be told it wrote itself instead of letting me finish the other story which has only one more chapter to go before I throw myself into the next part. [this commentary was written before I finished it]
The story picks up right where the previous chapter left off, but I'm not sure what my destination is except you know, Max and Alec being together. There is currently no Chapter 10. Chapter 9 got written like two weeks ago, but editing took longer than expected. It's not my most shining literary example, and not very popular either. Though who only knows why it had so many hits even when it was further down on the list than Just Another 48 Hours. That kind of annoys me a bit, because I know there's hardly a shortage of M/A and it's getting as almost as many hits as Just Another 48 Hours with no reviews. It's pretty obvious the silly thing has a huge following and I think it's lame that they won't review it.
I won't abandon it, though I've been done with that universe since September and for me it's a done deal, while posting-wise it isn't. I'll just post whatever comes to mind until I can cycle back to the original chapters and the end, which is what will happen.
Beware SPOILERS below...
One of the things I wanted to do was show Max and Jondy more. In yet another act of unjustified egomania, I thought I'd have fun with modeling Jondy after myself. Also, I wanted to write about how Jondy and Zack get dragged into this situation kicking and screaming. I need to write up an actual scene between Max and Alec, instead of just skirting and just recalling what's been said and done.
By the way, Kaia will be making an appearance as well. And she's going to be annoying and bitchy as ever, I'm imagining Blair Waldorf X5 style perhaps? I say that because that show is insipidly dull and so are Blair's ridiculous schemes that actually do nothing. She's also whiny and overdramatic.
So, Zack really isn't quite sure about the Max situation, but has put that aside so he can do his job. He also knows that she's just gotten out of one relationship and doesn't look to pressure her. Still, he'll have some hang-ups about what's going to happen with her and Alec.
Jondy will be around for comic relief and commentary. Logan will also be back to stir up trouble, and I'm not going to be bashing him but you can guess where this is headed.
There has also been a considerable lack of Alec in the story, which I can't explain. I tried to give him something to do, but this was all I could come up with. Of course, something will happen to Max and he'll find out, freak and try to save her. Then they'll fight because the truth has come out and make up, followed by a series of epilogues that were from the original version.
